Dengemarsh
A Wide Shingle Beach famous for it's Sole fishing

How to get there:

Very easy, take the A259 to Lydd, over the railway bridge, turn left down Harden Road to the roundabout, straight over down Robin Hood Lane Road which bends hard round to the right, carry on down Dengemarsh Road, the road is rough from the chicken farm so take it easy!
There is plenty of parking close to the beach but don't get stuck in the soft shingle!

There is some wartime debris and a sluice outfall
otherwise this is mostly a clean beach.

Summer fishing for Bass and Mackerel.During the
Autumn months it is famous for it's big Sole and,
with luck, exceptional Bass.
A great Winter venue for Codling and Whiting.
This venue fishes all tide round,
first flood can be good as well as just over high water.

Tactics:
Live bait close in can be deadly for big Bass, try a
whole squid on a big Pennel rig.
Local Lugworm at sixty metres for Sole in the Autumn.
After a blow over high water the classic cocktail of Lug
and Razorfish presented at one hundred metres is the
way to tempt local Cod
