Catch Reports

This page will give you the weekly catch reports for the area.
This will be based on reports by anglers in the shop or those who phone in, so please call into the shop or phone meand let me know what's happening.

I get three or four calls every day asking me what is being caught, where, on what bait and on which element of the tide cycle.

I will do my very best to update this section on a weekly basis with some idea of which locations are fishing well in our catchment area.

This week, after the blows, the cold weather has slowed down the action, all I have had in the way of reports around 'the point' is mostly small stuff, Whiting, Dabs and the dreaded Rockling. The good news is that the wind for the next three or four days is going to be NNW or NW at least the whole point will be fisheable and it's going to get a little warmer.
The fishing this Winter has been fantastic, the best overall for twenty or more years!
Loads of Codling along with the occasional better fish supported by Bass, big Whiting, Dogfish and Dabs.
Will the Codling return... Yes if we get more South Westerly blows.. If the food is on the beach then so will the fish!

The pick would be the 'point' at low water.
I will try for another update next week.. Tony.
